Nestled in the hilly Abington section of the cozy New England town of Pomfret, CT, the 4-H Camp is surrounded by state forest, a nature conservatory and neighbors interested in maintaining area farms and woodlands.Campoers doing stretches on gymnastics mats

The camp is five minutes from routes 44 and 97, ten minutes from Interstate 395 and approximately 40 minutes from Hartford.

The 270 acres of woodlands are crossed by brooks and streams which supply our three ponds. Our buildings include boy's and girl's cabins, modern bath facilities, nature lodge, health center, staff housing and a main lodge that seats 270 people. The grounds also feature a nature outdoor amphitheater, a peaceful "time-for-thought" area and many trails excellent for quiet walks or group hikes.

Our horse camp has stables, three rings for horseback riding and of course, riding trails. We also have a beautiful outdoor pavilion, modern basketball court, commercial kitchen, and dining hall facilities which seats 270 people.
