Where: Windham-Tolland 4-H Camp, 326 Taft Pond Rd, Pomfret Center, CT 06259
Cost: $45 per class or $250 for all 6 classes (Max 12 kids)
Session Topics
April 6: Rain to Rainbow
Follow water from sky to ground as we explore rain, erosion, and the water cycle. Students experiment with rainwater and discover how rainbows form.
April 13: Fire: Heat, Light & Change
Learn how fire works and why safety matters. Students explore heat, light, and change through simple combustion experiments and projects.
April 20: Hidden Worlds of Vernal Pools
Discover the hidden life of vernal pools and the animals that depend on them. Students explore life cycles, metamorphosis, and seasonal habitats through hands-on activities.
April 27: Feathers, Flight & Springtime
Explore birds, eggs, and nests while learning how birds grow, fly, and migrate. Students observe local birds and discover how animals meet their needs in spring.
May 4: From Seed to Canopy
Dig into plant life by exploring seeds, leaves, and trees. Students learn how plants grow, make food from sunlight, and spread seeds through hands-on projects.
May 11: Tiny Creatures, Big Jobs
Investigate insects, worms, and other small creatures that keep ecosystems healthy. Students explore life cycles, migration, and the role of helpful and harmful bugs.
