Dear Camp Families-
In this time of uncertainty, our camp family is wishing you well and hoping you are hanging in there, finding fun ways to connect with your family.
With deep concern for the health and safety of our campers, we are closely monitoring the situation surrounding COVID-19, and planning is well under way to make sure camp continues to be a safe place for children and families to make connections and memories in the great outdoors.
As of this moment, we are on track to run camp this summer and will keep you updated if that comes in to doubt. We are making decisions moving forward with great care and intentionality as we always do for our campers and staff.
Here is an update on our plans so far in helping keep our community healthy and safe. We will be following the guidance of the CDC, Local Health Department and the American Camp Association to ensure we are doing everything we can do to support and slow the spread of COVID-19.
The administrative team and camp committee are meeting regularly to stay up to date and current with the situation keeping in mind that we need to stay flexible and proactive.
The following are some of the increased cleanliness and health measures we will be implementing for Summer 2020.
- Extra Handwashing stations
- Increase number of staff to help with cleaning facilities
- Extra training for staff on communicable diseases
- Temperatures will be taken during registration
- Nurses will be asking more questions during registration based on the recent health status of campers
Remember these measures may increase based on new information
